Principal's Message

Dear Independence HS Families,

It is indeed a pleasure to welcome returning students and new students to the 2024-2025 school year! As we partner with our parents and community, we will work together to help our students achieve their goal of graduating from high school. Last year, we completed another successful school year graduating approximately 109 students!

We are excited to continue our blended learning model for the 2024-2025 school year.  In addition, our classes will be offered in a mini-semester format. This means that students can complete courses in approximately 45 days (9 weeks), which will give our students the opportunity to complete more classes within the school year. The mini-semester format requires that students attend school regularly. Students should not miss more than three (3) days in a class per mini semester. Parents, we need your support in ensuring that your student will attend school each day. 

We understand the importance of finding the best school for your student’s education and we believe that Independence High is that school. We know that “one size does not fit all” when educating our youth, we embrace our students’ differences, and we take pride in our diverse population.
